England also imposed expensive taxes for colonies. In 1774 the kings governor of Virginia forced the house of burgesses to close. England saw it’s colonies as a source of raw material and wealth. The colonist however had come to chase under English. Started the Continental Army to fight for their freedom.

Rappahannock
They met John Smith in December 1607. They sold there first peice of land to the English in 1651. The English never paid the price. In the 1660 s the settlers forced the Rappahannock tribe to move. The tribe head from the English settlers during Bacon's Rebellion.
Jamestown
Jamestown is a historical site in East Virginia. Jamestown is home to the ruins of the first pain from and English settlers in North America. It includes the remains of eighteenth-century Ambler mansion. Artifacts from the region settlers are on display in the archearium archaeology museum. Nearby the Jamestown Settlement is a living history museum with recreations of a 1610 s fort and a Powhatan Ender Village.
